About
Amanda
A native New Yorker, Amanda Mathews grew up on 102nd street
on the West Side. Life in the city provided cultural opportunities during
her formative years, which later fueled her desire for travel and study
as a young woman. She studied Cultural Anthropology at Hunter College
and Art Restoration at the University of the Americas in Mexico City.
As a natural teacher she was offered a series of positions which range
from adult classes at Earthworks and Artisans to children’s instruction
at Trinity school.
 |
Seventeen
years ago Amanda had the opportunity to open her own studio,
and so Chambers Pottery was conceived. Chambers Pottery provides
a welcoming and relaxed environment, which make it an ideal
place for new and advanced students alike.
